New Day, New Chance

A new day comes with new chances. Another day means the ability to do what you weren’t able to do before. Similarly to the last post, It’s like a new opportunity has arrived. With this opportunity, you get another chance, either to do what you couldn’t do before or to improve on something. Now that you’ve been given another chance, you now need to be proactive. You need to take the necessary steps to maximise the chance that you’ve been given.

1. Get up

There are days where we would like to be lazy and do absolutely nothing. It’s okay to take time off because we all need it. However, if the only thing you do is rest, then you need to change that. Right now, it’s time to get up. Do not sit forever, or you will waste this chance. Don’t sit forever, or you will miss the opportunity. It is time to take action, and it starts by getting up. It can be physically or emotionally. Depending on the type of person that you are, you might need to get up physically and start doing before your emotions catch up. Sometimes, you may not feel like getting up, but you know that you need to. You know that if you don’t get up, you won’t reach that goal. So do not listen to your emotion at that moment and get up. With time your emotions will follow. There are some things we don’t like to do, or we don’t feel like doing. Although, once we’ve done it, the reward is worth it. If your emotions are stopping you from getting up, then you need something stronger to push you. Think about the reward, the end goal, where you can be and use that to motivate you. If you can get your emotions to be in a state of wanting to get up, then it helps to boost the physical aspect. You’re in a better position, and things become a lot easier.

2. Get out

After getting up, it doesn’t end there. We all wish it did, but getting up is only the first step. Now, you need to get out. You can’t get out by being still; it comes with movement. Everything comes with an action. It’s not good enough to want to get up or want to get out, you need to do it. How do you do that? Similarly to the last step, think about the end goal. What do you want to achieve? What do you want to accomplish? Use it to motivate you. It starts by taking the first step. Taking one step ten times equals ten steps. However, if you never took the first step, you would never get to the tenth step. Start small, and over time it will accumulate.

3. Get the bag

After getting up and getting out, you then need to get the bag. You’re so close now, so there’s no point giving up now. The bag is the prize. It’s the very thing that makes the first two steps worth it. Without getting the bag, you’re wasting your time. Do not waste your time, finish what you started. Close that deal; finish that assignment; reach that deadline. Once you finish everything that when the satisfaction comes. You stepped up to the plate, took a chance and made a home run.

All 3 steps are needed for success, and it starts by getting up. Today, I want to encourage you to, Get up, Get out and Get the bag.
